Lego has a program called CUUSOO where fans can create and submit Lego build ideas and through a long and lengthy voting and vetting process, some of those fan-inspired creations can become actual Lego sets. Most recently, on August 1st, Lego released their much anticipated Back to the Future Lego DeLorean Time Machine.

The only thing worse then dealing with one postal service is dealing with two.

I mailed an item to a custom in Canada back on February 26th. USPS.com shows it cleared Canadian customs on March 3rd. If you go the Canada Post website, you can see it made it as far as Edmonton on March 7th. Then…nothing.

I have a Crock Pot. My Mom gave it to us many years back and it’s a damned useful thing to have. I don’t use it all the time but things I do tend to use it for I only make in that way. Such as a pot roast. The only way I cook pot roast is in my Crock Pot.

Backstory: I ran the dishwasher yesterday and noticed a big puddle on the kitchen floor. I think it’s leaking and being on the 3rd floor, that’s not especially good news for the apartment below us. So I emptied it but didn’t refill it; instead just piling my dirty dishes in the sink until I could get maintenance out today to look at it.

I spent Monday afternoon partially disassembling my vacuum cleaner and trying to unclog the completely stuffed hose. It was messy, disgusting and absurd.

I’m not as obsessive about it as some people but I take time each day to check out a couple freebie/deal boards to keep an eye out for free products or samples or other neat ways of getting items free or extremely cheap. And getting engaged at Christmas opened me up to entirely new category of awesome promotions.
